What is the difference between the 4MP and 2MP Uniview Turret Camera? Which one is better? Which camera is the best choice for you? These are the questions I am hoping to give you an answer to today.
Many people assume that the camera with the highest pixel count is going to be the better choice. This is not always correct and I will show you why.
Both cameras will you give clear, high resolution images whether it's raining, sunny, cloudy or very bright outside. The main difference between the two cameras is actually the footage captured at night when there is low light.
The 2MP camera uses Super Starlight technology which means if you have ambient lighting it will provide you with colour footage at night . The 4MP camera will provide you with a higher resolution image during the day but uses infra-red technology at night. This means that the footage captured in the dark will be in black and white.
As you can see on the right, both cameras give you clear images at night but would you benefit from coloured night time footage? If the answer to that question is yes, the 2MP Super Starlight Turret Camera is the best choice for you
