Audio Not Working?
To help identify the issue try these quick checks:
· Is the camera audio input on?
· Is the camera audio enabled for recording?
· Is the audio muted in live or playback?
Follow the steps below to check each of these are enabled:
Is the Camera Audio Input On?
By default, the camera audio is disabled. To enable to audio, on the NVR or in the Cloud Portal check the following:
1. Open MENU
2. Go to CAMERA menu
3. Select AUDIO & VIDEO sub-menu
4. Select AUDIO tab
5. Change SELECT CHANNEL field to [CAMERA]
6. Check AUDIO INPUT option to enable audio input
7. Click APPLY
8. Repeat stages 5-7 for all applicable cameras
Is the Camera Audio Enabled for Recording?
By default, the camera audio recording is disabled. To enable to audio, On the NVR or in the Cloud Portal check the following:
1. Open MENU
2. Go to STORAGE menu
3. Select RECORDING SCHEDULE
4. Change SELECT CHANNEL field to [CAMERA]
5. Switch AUDIO STORAGE option to active to enable audio recording
6. Click APPLY
7. Repeat stages 4-6 for all applicable cameras
Is the Audio Muted in Live or Playback?
Cameras in video feed are muted by default. To unmute to audio, On the NVR or in the Cloud Portal check the following:
1. Open LIVE or PLAYBACK
2. Select [CAMERA] video feed
3. In the pop up tab,
Select the speaker symbol [SPEAKER WITH A CROSS] (TURN AUDIO ON)
4. The audio is now active, and the symbol should now be changed [SPEAKER WITH SOUND WAVES] (TURN AUDIO OFF)
